Salad with jackfruit pieces

INGREDIENTS (for 2 persons)

  • 200 gram Rootzz of Nature Jackfruit Pieces
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce​
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sambal
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter​
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 100 gram lamb’s lettuce with beetroot
  • 2 pickled red inions​
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • pepper and salt


StEp 1

Chop the onion, finely chop the clove of garlic. Pour a dash of oil into a pan and fry the onion with the garlic. After about 3 minutes, add the Jackfruit pieces and fry them for about 2-3 minutes. Then add the ketchup, soy sauce, sambal, sugar and peanut butter and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

StEp 2

Meanwhile, cut the pickled red onion into rings. Cut the stem off the red pepper. Roll the pepper between your hands so that the seeds fall out. Cut the pepper into thin rings. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Stap 3

In a large bowl, combine the lamb’s lettuce blend, pickled red onion, red pepper, marinated Jackfruit pieces, sesame seeds and dressing. Yummy, enjoy!
