Pulled jackfruit sandwich American style

INGREDIENTS (Serves 2 persons)

  • 200 grams of Rootzz of Nature Jackfruit Barbecue
  • 2 buns
  • Red cabbage 
  • Julienne carrot
  • Chopped red onion
  • Apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar
  • Salt
  • Avocado
  • (Vegan) mayonnaise
  • French fries or chips for garnish

PREPARATION (15 min.)

StEp 1

Cut the red and white cabbage and carrots into very thin strips. You can also use a mandolin for this. Put the cabbage in a bowl, add the salt and vinegar and mix everything together with your hands. Crush the cabbage by squeezing it firmly a few times. Set aside.

StEp 2

Cut the buns in half and spread them with mayonnaise. Spoon a little cabbage salad on each bun.

Meanwhile, heat the jackfruit in a pan and then divide it over the buns. Slice the avocado and place on top. 

Serving tip: serve the pulled jackfruit sandwiches with fries or chips.
