Jackfruit Balls In an Asian Bowl

INGREDIENTS (Serves 2 persons)

  • 10 Rootzz of Nature jackfruit balls
  • 50 grams soy beans
  • 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ red pepper
  • 1 lime
  • 125 grams rice
  • 150 grams carrot julienne
  • 150 grams zucchini julienne
  • 50 grams radish 

Garnish:

  • sesame seeds
  • spring onion
  • coriander
  • pinch of salt
  • olive oil
  • guacamole
  • A sprig of parsley

PREPARATION (15 min. + waiting time 30 min.)

StEp 1

Cut the stem from the red pepper. Roll the pepper between your hands so the seeds fall out. Chop the pepper finely. Finely chop the garlic. Place the balls in a bowl and add the oyster sauce, juice of 1 lime, honey, garlic and red pepper. Stir well, cover and let marinate for 30 min (longer is also possible). Meanwhile, cook the rice with a pinch of salt.

StEp 2

Heat a pan with a little oil and fry the meatballs for 3-4 minutes on medium heat. Put the rice, soy beans, carrot julienne, zucchini strings and radishes in a bowl.

Serving tip: serve the balls in a bowl with sesame seeds, spring onion and cilantro.
